How I Got Into Isopods and Springtails
When I first got my Leopard Gecko, I built a bioactive enclosure — which meant I needed isopods and springtails as a cleanup crew. I started with Powder Mix isopods, which I personally think are one of the most versatile and reliable species for almost any setup.
A few months later, my colony exploded in numbers! I decided to sell some to my local pet store, and that’s when I realized I could turn my hobby into a small business. I used that first bit of money to buy more species and expand my collection — and I’ve been growing ever since.
All of my leaves, bark, and seed pods come from trusted friends who collect them in pesticide-free forests in Pennsylvania and Alabama. Everything I sell is clean, safe, and collected responsibly.
My Goal
My goal is to provide affordable, healthy isopods, springtails, and supplies for other hobbyists who share my passion for microfauna. I love helping others get started or grow their colonies.
