Bark, Leaves, Substrates Calcium Sources, Moss, Seed pods, and More!

NEW PICTURES ARE COMING SOON DUE TO NEW PACKAGING!

All the leaves, barks and botanicals are collected in a pesticide free areas.

Leaves (Mix of isopod safe, pesticide free leaves)-

Collected from a pesticide free-area -The leaves are frozen for a minimum of 72 hours to sterilize them. My leaves are never heat sterilized, as heat sterilizing kills all of the existing fungi and beneficial soil bacteria, resulting in mold outbreaks from random spores in the air after rehydration in you enclosures. Soil bacteria is also important for the gut biome of detritivores, and crucial to their ability to digest food

1 stuffed gallon- $15

Oak Tree Bark-

Collected in a Pesticide free area in the Middle of nowhere in Kansas. Some are freshly collected while some are a little older. Some are completely covered in moss, but most just have a little. Pieces will vary in size, some are wider and some are longer, it varies.

1 Gallon bag - $15 - (This is as much as I can put in a gallon bag and the amount of pieces you will receive will vary on the size of the bark)

Dry Sphagnum moss-

Moisture-retaining, natural moss ideal for isopod and springtail enclosures. Provides a soft, humid environment for burrowing, helps maintain substrate moisture, and encourages healthy microfauna activity.

1qt-$5

~21 quart dry compressed brick - $40

Cuttle bone-

A natural, calcium-rich supplement for isopods and other microfauna. Provides essential minerals to support healthy exoskeleton development, growth, and overall vitality. 4.7-5.7 inches long! You can easily break this into pieces to give to your isopods or millepedes due to the large size of this cuttle bone.

1-$2.5

Charcoal-

CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE - EXPECTED TO BE BACK IN-STOCK IN JANUARY 2026

Natural, safe charcoal pieces for isopod enclosures that help absorb impurities and maintain a clean, odor-free environment. Provides hiding spots while supporting a healthy substrate balance for isopods and microfauna.

Flake soil-   COMMING SOON

A lightweight, nutrient-rich substrate designed to support healthy isopod and springtail populations. Its natural texture encourages burrowing, retains moisture, and fosters beneficial microfauna growth for a thriving enclosure.

Dried Banana Leaves-

These are collected for my backyard banana trees. They are pesticide free, and highly nutritious. They also look great in enclosures!

1 gallon - $15

Isopod Substrate-

A nutrient-rich, moisture-retaining substrate designed to support healthy isopod populations. Promotes natural burrowing, maintains humidity, and encourages microbial growth, creating an ideal environment for thriving isopods and springtails.

1 Gallon-$15

4 Gallons-$40

Old isopod substrate:

This will be mostly frass, pieces of unconsumed cuttle bone, leaf skeletons, and wood that the isopods didn't eat. There might be some substrate in it though. This works great to jump start your bioactive reptile enclosures or isopod enclosures to increase beneficial bacteria. This is freeze for a minimum of 72 hours to kill off any left isopods, springtails, mights, or anything else but the beneficial bacteria is still there. This makes a great all natural plant fertilizer too! I would recommend adding one small hand full per one gallon of substrate for a new enclosure/bin.

$5/1 quart

$10/1 gallon

Reptile Substrate-

The Arid reptile substrate has been tested and proven with my leopard gecko. I have done plenty of research on the tropical substrate to create it and have had good customer feedback on it with their tropical reptiles.    Bulk prices are available upon request

Arid-$10/Gallon - 36 quarts (9 gallons) for $60 + shipping

Tropical-$12/Gallon -  36 quarts (9 gallons) for $70 + shipping

Magnolia Seed Pods- Currently Unavailable

Natural, safe additions for isopod enclosures that provide both a hiding spot and a slow-release source of nutrients as they break down. Great for enriching the environment and encouraging natural foraging behaviors.

$2-1

Magnolia Leaves -

These are great leaves for enclosures and look great too. They can be used as hides and isopods love them.

$10 - 1 gallon

Mosquito Bits –

A safe, effective solution to control fungus gnat larvae in isopod and microfauna enclosures. Made from natural bacteria, these bits target larvae in the substrate without harming your isopods or springtails, helping maintain a healthy, clean environment.

2oz-$5

Palm Tree Bark-

I use this bark along with cork bark and oak bark. Unlike cork bark, palm tree bark provides nutritional value to isopods, millepedes, and springtails. My isopods actually eat it and they leave grooves in it from where they have eaten. I personally think it looks great in enclosures too. Pieces are pretty large and may be cut down. This is a great cork bark alternative. Sizes will vary and may look totally different than what is pictured.

1 piece - $5

1 pound - $7

5 pounds - $30

10 pounds - $50

1.5in isopod bin vents with micro mesh (Grey)-
